Immich

Immich is a self-hosted photo and video management application for backing up, organizing, and viewing your personal media.

  1. Open VSCode.
  2. Create an immich folder and navigate into it.
mkdir immich
cd immich
  1. Create a docker compose file.
nano docker-compose.yml
  1. Nano will open an empty file in the main window of VS Code. Paste following the configuration into the this file then save using CTRL or ⌘ + S.

  1. Create a .env file.
nano .env
  1. Nano will open an empty file in the main window of VS Code. Paste following the configuration into the this file, fill in the username, passwords, save the login credentials to a password manager, then save using CTRL or ⌘ + S.

  1. Start the docker container.
sudo docker compose up -d
  1. Record the port 2283 in the Server Administration note under Immich.

Congratulations! The Server is Live

Check if everything is working

  1. Visit http://IPv4:2283
