First Read - Inspectional Reading (15 minutes)
- What are the main ideas?
- What is the author trying to accomplish?
- What is the structure of the chapters?
- What is the context?
Second Read - Analytical Reading
- Read the book slowly and deeply
- Apply the color coded highlight system
- When the context is understood through inspectional reading the impulse to highlight everything lessens
- Export the highlights and try to expand upon the blue and green highlights
